App & Website Usage

Track and analyse the websites and applications any employee — or your entire team — uses during working hours across a day, week or month. Measure how much time is spent on which activities based on real data rather than assumptions, powered by automated tracking.

App & Website Usage

What it measures

For any single employee or your whole team, it tracks the websites and applications used during working hours across a day, week or month. Records are at the level of application name, website domain, window title and start and end time of use. No content is recorded.

What it is used for

  • Seeing where time actually goes, from data rather than assumption
  • Finding unused software licences — usually the fastest return in any deployment
  • Reducing tool sprawl across teams
  • Seeing how workload is distributed during busy periods

Bounding the measurement

Tracking can be limited to the work calendar. With that setting on, no data is collected outside working hours at all — the most practical way to keep a remote team's monitoring proportionate.

Frequently asked questions

Is what someone types on a website recorded?
No. Records are at domain and window title level. Page content, form fields, message text and passwords are never recorded under any configuration.
Can personal use be separated out?
Activities can be classified as productive, unproductive or neutral. In visible mode an employee can also pause the application before doing something personal.
Can I view the whole team at once?
Yes. You can view per person, per team or across the whole organisation, over any date range you select.
