Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 19, 2026

This policy explains how cookies are used on the berqun.com website and in the Berqun application. By continuing to use our site, you accept the use of cookies described here.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device through your browser when you visit a website. Cookies allow a site to recognise you, remember your preferences and collect information about how the site is used.

Which cookies does Berqun use?

Berqun.com sends a cookie to your device that contains an identification number unique to the computer you are using. We use this cookie to provide you with a continuous experience and to record how our site and service are being used.

  • Strictly necessary cookies: required for the site to function, such as session management and security. The site will not work correctly without them and they cannot be disabled.
  • Preference cookies: remember choices such as your language selection to make return visits easier.
  • Performance and analytics cookies: help us understand how pages are used, detect errors and improve service quality. This data is evaluated in aggregate.
  • Third-party cookies: our site uses third-party services such as an embedded video player and a live support widget. These services may set their own cookies and are subject to their own privacy policies.

Log files

As is done with most web sites, we log each visit to each web page. A log entry can contain information typically found in the header of your browser's request, such as the browser type you used, your Internet Protocol address, and the date and time of day. We may also log your cookie's identification number and the URL of the last site you visited. This information is used for security, audit, quality improvement and for monitoring the health of our service.

How can you manage cookies?

You can view and delete cookies and block new cookies from being stored through your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, some parts of the site may not work correctly. Refer to your browser's help pages for browser-specific steps.

How to manage your cookie preferences

A cookie preference dialog appears on your first visit. Nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies is written until you consent; decline and the analytics and live-chat cookies are never loaded at all.

To change your mind later, use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page. Withdrawing consent deletes the relevant cookies and stops those services from loading again.

  • Strictly necessary — required for the site to work and cannot be switched off. Your preference itself is stored here.
  • Functional — the live support chat (Freshchat). With it off, the chat window does not open.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics 4. With it off, no measurement takes place.

Google Analytics is configured with Google Consent Mode: analytics and advertising storage are set to denied until you consent.
